About the study circle
Students need more than a study plan. They need someone who helps them see what is possible.
The Study Circle grew from years of tutoring and mentoring. Understanding matters, but students also need guidance to build responsibility, make decisions and return after a difficult week.
Founder story
Meet Mr Nitesh Gulia.
Nitesh is a medical student at the University of Sydney and has spent more than eight years tutoring and mentoring across Mathematics, Science, English, Biology, Chemistry and medical interviews.
Across thousands of hours, he saw students who did not need another lengthy explanation. They needed a relatable near-peer role model who could help them organise competing demands, begin earlier, use stronger recall and recover after a difficult week.
As a University of Sydney medical student, Nitesh also understands the questions students have about university life, health pathways and the choices that sit beyond school. The aim is not permanent dependence on reminders. It is to build systems and judgement students can eventually manage themselves.

Mentor recruitment and support
A careful process, without implying a large team.
Nitesh currently leads mentor interviews, suitability review and Working With Children Check verification. A mentor is not presented to a family until relevant screening and fit have been reviewed.
Screen
Identity, experience, references, communication judgement and required Working With Children Check details are reviewed.
Prepare
Mentors are introduced to study systems, academic integrity, approved channels, consent, boundaries and escalation.
Supervise
Notes, parent reports, workload, fit concerns and safety decisions remain subject to direct oversight.
