Operational policy

Service terms

Terms for The Study Circle website, study coaching and mentoring programs, workshops, tutoring and digital resources.

Provider and enrolment

The service is provided by Gulia Pty Ltd trading as the study circle. A parent or legal guardian completes enrolment for a student under 18.

Educational scope

Study coaching and mentoring supports planning, habits, responsibility and reflection. It is not a school, counselling service, clinical assessment, crisis service or admissions guarantee. Tutors and mentors do not guarantee outcomes.

Participation

Students are expected to communicate respectfully, attend agreed sessions and raise problems early. Parents provide accurate consent and safety information. Participation may be adjusted, paused or ended when unsafe, consistently unsuitable or outside scope.

Fees and GST

All advertised consumer prices include GST where applicable. Study Support is A$25 per week or A$225 for one 10-week term paid upfront. Performance Mentoring is A$45 per week or A$405 for one 10-week term paid upfront.

School terms and holidays

Programs follow the relevant Australian state or territory school-term calendar. Weekly mentoring charges pause during the applicable school holidays. Optional holiday programs require a separate enrolment unless expressly included.

Cancellation and access

Weekly memberships and prepaid term places may be cancelled with 14 days' written notice from the parent or billing contact. Eight weeks is recommended to establish a useful mentoring rhythm but is not a minimum lock-in. Portal access normally remains available for one week after the paid service period ends. This does not limit rights under Australian Consumer Law.

Failed payments and medical pauses

A failed weekly payment has a seven-day grace period before the account is reviewed. A parent may request a medical pause in writing for up to four weeks per term without providing a detailed diagnosis. Longer requests are considered individually.

Academic integrity

Students remain responsible for following school rules. Mentors must not complete assessed work, impersonate a student or facilitate cheating.

Digital resources

Unless stated otherwise, resources are licensed for the purchaser’s personal or household educational use and may not be resold, uploaded publicly or commercially distributed.

Consumer rights

Nothing in these terms excludes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.
